We would like to give our condolences to the Warren family on the passing of son Charlie yesterday.
Charlie raced for several years with the Northwest Ohio club and around Region 4.
Charles A. (Charlie) Warren April 19, 1993-Oct. 21, 2011
Charles A. “Charlie” Warren, 18 years of Temperance, MI, died Friday, October 21, 2011.
Born April 19, 1993 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Charles T. And Debra L. (Ashenfelter) Warren. Charlie was a 2011 graduate of Ida High School, where he wrestled and was ranked in the 189-pound weight class. He also raced Quarter Midgets and then later advanced to 600 Outlaw Sprints.
Charles was recently employed by Rose City Motors in Toledo. He attended Bedford Alliance Church in Temperance, MI and also Pine Ridge Bible Church in Quincy, MI.
He is survived by his loving parents, Charles and Debra Warren. Grandparents; Carol Warren, and Neil and Phyllis Ashenfelter. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles O. Warren.
Visitation will be from 2-9 PM Monday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at Bedford Alliance Church, 8645 Jackman Rd., Temperance, MI, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Southeast Michigan Young Life. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
Charlie will always be remembered as a mentor to younger children and quarter midget drivers. He will be missed, but forever in our hearts. Please keep his parents and family in your prayers.

The final round of the 2011 Region 4 Championship Series took place this past weekend in Waterford, MI, host of next year's
Eastern Grands. A cool early fall weekend, and a track still not converted over to MBM rubber, meant track records were not in
jeopardy, but some close qualifying and good racing was seen as we closed out the 2011 regional season. Fast

A hot, sunny weekend greeted families for the Region 4 Championship Series
race at Ohio River City. Lap times quickly matched those seen in 2010, as fast

Capitol QMA hosted the 2011 Region 4 States Race, and round 2 of the Region 4 Championship Series,
on Saturday, June 4. Holding its first States Race since repaving, the club opened the track
records for States qualifying for all classes. Setting new records were:

Cayden Lapcevich took the checkered to win the Robbie Stanley Memorial
Heavy World Formula Race at Mini-Indy. Cayden inherited the lead when early pace setter and Fast Qualifier
Kevin Cremonesi fell out with mechanical problems. He later lost the lead to Noah Gallandt, until Noah's engine
failed him only a few laps later, and Cayden led the rest of the way to capture his first Robbie Stanley cup.

The 2010 Region 4 Banquet
was hekl January 22
at the Amish Country Inn & Splash Universe in Shipshewana, Indiana.
Over 20 families enjoyed a great
meal catered by the Blue Gate
Restaurant, followed by the awards
presentation, and then moved over
to the adjacent water park for an
afternoon of fun on a frigid day!
